who am i?
honest, hopeful, brave
In my work, I hold honesty as the foundation for meaningful growth. True self-knowledge requires the courage to face uncomfortable truths about ourselves and our lives. Bravery isn’t about fearlessness—it’s about moving forward despite fear, taking the necessary steps to confront our own inner landscapes. Yet, this process is not without hope. I believe in the transformative power of self-awareness to lead us toward a balanced and integrated life where realism and idealism meet. Hope emerges when we can hold both our strengths and vulnerabilities with integrity, allowing us to lead with wholeness.
I am a mother to four sons and have hosted many refugees at home for years. I paint icons using egg tempera, as well as using mixed methods to illustrate my dreams. I am a Christian and long-term meditator, and as well as writing, I love reading. Camus is one of my favourite authors, alongside Khalil Gibran. I am a companion in Contemplative Fire and love to co-facilitate interpersonal meditation sessions, known as insight dialogue. My favourite place is the beach in Brazil or painting in my studio.
“When we realize that we are all bright pearls in Indra’s net, we see that within each one of us
the whole body of the universe is contained. Since we are all already connected in Indra’s net,
there are no limits to the possibilities of connecting with other people in our lives and our work.” (Glassman, 1996)
