With over 30 years of experience working across diverse professional and cultural landscapes, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor, practical experience, and creative insight into my coaching, spiritual direction and consulting practice.

PhD (2015) – My doctoral research focused on the impact of affect and emotions on professionals, equipping me with a deep understanding of how emotional balance and self-awareness are essential for all professionals and leaders, particularly those in high-stress or ethically complex environments.

Master’s Degree (2010) – I hold a Master’s in Social Interventions, which complements my PhD and further deepens my understanding of human behavior, social leadership, and cultural dynamics.

Buddhist Chaplain (2016) and Spiritual Director (2024) – My two-year chaplaincy training in a Zen Buddhist training centre in the USA and spiritual direction training (Sarum College UK), allow me to guide individuals on a personal and spiritual level, creating space to reflect upon and question existential themes.

Expertise in Meditation – I have extensive training and personal practice in mindfulness and meditation techniques, including interpersonal meditation (Insight Dialogue), which I integrate into my coaching to foster balance, resilience, and inner clarity for my clients.

Raised in both Chinese and English cultures, I am adept at navigating and bridging diverse perspectives. I have worked with professionals across sectors, from corporate leaders to those serving vulnerable populations, as well as directly with refugees, asylum seekers, victims of trafficking, incarcerated men and young people. This multicultural, multidisciplinary approach sets me apart in my ability to meet clients where they are and guide them toward lasting self-awareness and personal growth.
